So, I was riding the jeepney a while ago when I noticed this girl who was sitting beside her mom and across her dad. I noticed the way she looks though because she doesn’t look like her age, she’s dressed like someone older for her age and she shouted at her dad while at jeepney (she was just asking for the water bottle). I know that it’s a girl’s thing to look at other girls too (you know, in a scrutinizing way haha) but I just don’t like it when young girls want to look older and act all high and mighty, you know what I’m saying.

So, I was falling in line for the jeepney ride when I heard the kid behind me ask her mom something. Her question was “Ma, what mall has stairs?” I was eavesdropping at their conversation and even the mom can’t answer her question so her mom asked what kind of stairs and she answered, “You know, the one which has elevator beside it and goes up and down”. Omygahd, more complications in life haha.

121412: Thoughts on the last day of being in school

So, I was riding the jeepney earlier and I was thinking, tomorrow would be my last day in school as a student. Of course I would still be going back but that’s just to arrange some papers for graduation. Tomorrow would be my last day of taking an examination as a student. Tomorrow would be my last day of riding the jeepney as a student. I still want to learn and go to school though but, if I go to school again, I’ve decided that it’s going to be from my own pocket, so I’m going to work first. Quite sentimental eh? Oh well. I bet some feel it when their college lives end in this country. Freedom? Liberation? It’s different for everybody. I think life as a student will always be missed. And after graduation, what now?

092412: The Noisy People

So I was riding the jeepney a while ago when I noticed a group of ladies who were wearing same shirts. I think it’s their uniform for some sort of organization anyway, they were noisy. It’s okay when you’re talking to your friend inside the jeepney though but they were across from each other and they were talking loudly. I think every passenger who wasn’t acquainted with them understood what they’re saying. Anyway, it’s one of my pet peeves because I think you can talk in a discreet manner and not shout at each other.

071712: Shout for joy

So, I was riding the jeepney earlier when we noticed that some kind of shouting is going on. I was kind of afraid because they were shouting/arguing on the street and it made me think that they would have a gun or something. But there weren’t any guns involved so thank God for that haha. Turns out that a jeepney driver broke the side mirror of a taxi/cab. And the jeepney driver didn’t care because he just drove on. So what the taxi driver did was to go out of the car and shouted publicly at the jeepney driver. Anyway, I didn’t how they’re going to resolve their problem.

When we got out of the jeepney, there was another man shouting on the street. He wasn’t shouting at anybody though, he’s just shouting haha.

I asked Aling Con what the problem could be because people on the street kept on shouting, she said, “Maybe it’s just the heat.”

060612: The Driver

So, I was riding the jeepney last Wednesday when the driver suddenly blurted out his feelings towards the policemen that’s always on duty to guard the street these drivers pass by. The driver was kind of angry at our school too because I think he thought that our administration was the one who said that these drivers can’t pass by that street/area anymore. I think it wasn’t the school’s fault though, not that I am biased, but I think they wouldn’t do that to people because some students, like me, take that jeepney route which happens to pass by our school and it’s very convenient. I was the last passenger to get down from the jeepney and the driver was kind enough to ask me where I should be going down because I think he doesn’t know that I study from that school. I didn’t think the driver did the wrong thing, I also don’t know if it’s right though, all I know is I’m just surprised to have someone blurt out his feelings in a public vehicle/place full of strangers.

052111: The Pager

So, I was riding the jeepney yesterday and there was this man in front of me. He was sleeping and then after a few minutes, he was already singing. He doesn’t have any earphones and the driver wasn’t also playing any music, but he’s still singing. And, the catch is, he was singing “with feelings” like he’s on a stage or karaoke with friends or something like that. So I stopped staring at him instead. But, after a few minutes, he dropped something, I thought “Oh, it’s his phone”. BUT, it was a pager. Why? How? What?

051112: The Kick

So, I was riding the jeepney yesterday when this man beside me suddenly kicked. He was actually getting sleepy/already sleeping and then he suddenly kicked, you know, that sensation you get when you’re not supposed to sleep but you’re already falling asleep and then you suddenly kick out of sleep. (ooh, inception). Anyway, I was beside him and I was forcing myself not to laugh because I suddenly remembered my supervisor’s/mentor’s excuse when he experienced this inside a jeepney. I think I won’t blog his experience because I might get scolded haha. My face was really weird because a person was staring at me and he was giving me a weird face because I was forcing myself not laugh. Anyway, it will be weirder if I laughed out of the blue, yeah?

050812: The Wrong Turn

Well, the jeepney driver didn’t actually made a wrong turn, I just think that it’s a nice title haha. But the driver did turn to another street that wasn’t in his itinerary because it was traffic.

Anyway, so my friend and I was seating beside the driver and then when he spotted that it was traffic, he made a turn to another street so we won’t get into traffic but unfortunately, traffic is everywhere. And then, this office lady/girl asked the driver after 10-20 mins. if we are still on the right street. I think she should have asked that before we made the turn because she may get lost. 

BUT.

While I was writing this blog entry, my friend was also reading this and I got the story wrong haha apparently, I wasn’t listening. The driver made the turn because the policeman said that he should turn right because he was in the right lane and that all the cars after him will be going that way and it’s kind of annoying. Anyway, at least I got the office lady/girl story right haha.
