So, I was riding the jeepney a while ago when I noticed this girl who was sitting beside her mom and across her dad. I noticed the way she looks though because she doesn’t look like her age, she’s dressed like someone older for her age and she shouted at her dad while at jeepney (she was just asking for the water bottle). I know that it’s a girl’s thing to look at other girls too (you know, in a scrutinizing way haha) but I just don’t like it when young girls want to look older and act all high and mighty, you know what I’m saying.

Anyway, another jeepney ride.

So, I was falling in line for the jeepney ride when I heard the kid behind me ask her mom something. Her question was “Ma, what mall has stairs?” I was eavesdropping at their conversation and even the mom can’t answer her question so her mom asked what kind of stairs and she answered, “You know, the one which has elevator beside it and goes up and down”. Omygahd, more complications in life haha.

Anyway, another jeepney ride.

PHOTOGRAPHER TOURS SHELTERS TO HELP DOGS GET ADOPTED - “Our mission is to provide shelter staff and volunteers with the resources to successfully groom and photograph shelter pets, helping give them the second chance they deserve.”

The One Picture Saves a Life initiative teaches animal shelters how to groom and photograph the shelter animals to present them in the best light (probably both literally and figuratively) for adoption. Photographer Seth Casteel is currently touring various shelters in the U.S. to put on workshops. You may be familiar with Casteel’s Underwater Dogs series. The photos above are examples of how different the dogs look depending on how they are presented.

It’s the 2nd week of January and here’s what I’ve written so far.

1.) I was listening to Justin Bieber so yeah. haha I think the lyrics I wrote was wrong though haha

3.) Our family watched a gala premiere of a movie and it was postponed due to technical difficulties. Oh well, sad reality haha

So, I have this fandom for V for Vendetta and I created a semi-typographic poster out of it. The Parliament building/Westminster Palace is kinda flop though haha, my photo reference had a very low resolution so I can’t see it very well. Whatevs. haha. Anyway, what do you think guys?

IT’S THE START OF A NEW YEAR AND I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING NEW. SO, I DECIDED THAT I WILL WRITE A THING EVERYDAY, WHETHER IT BE A SONG OR A QUOTE FROM A BOOK OR EVEN SOMETHING I HEARD FROM THE STREET. I CAN’T ALWAYS BRING MY CAMERA WITH ME SO I DECIDED THAT I WILL WRITE IN A CHILDISH WAY OF SOME SORT HAHA BECAUSE WE ALL LIKE TO DOODLE WHEN WE WERE KIDS SO I THOUGHT THAT WHY NOT RELIVE THAT. I HOPE THOUGH THAT I CAN KEEP UP WITH MY OWN LITTLE PROJECT ALL THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

121412: Thoughts on the last day of being in school

So, I was riding the jeepney earlier and I was thinking, tomorrow would be my last day in school as a student. Of course I would still be going back but that’s just to arrange some papers for graduation. Tomorrow would be my last day of taking an examination as a student. Tomorrow would be my last day of riding the jeepney as a student. I still want to learn and go to school though but, if I go to school again, I’ve decided that it’s going to be from my own pocket, so I’m going to work first. Quite sentimental eh? Oh well. I bet some feel it when their college lives end in this country. Freedom? Liberation? It’s different for everybody. I think life as a student will always be missed. And after graduation, what now?

Oh well, another jeepney ride.

We, a Portfolio and Exhibit class from the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, are organizing a multimedia exhibit this November 30, 2012 to December 3, 2012 at the Town Plaza of Alabang Town Center.

This exhibit aims to explore how the concepts of simplicity and complexity relate to one another, thus the name Simplexity, through various forms of art ranging from digital illustrations, graphic design, animation, videos, motion graphics, and the like. The exhibitors of the event are 19 graduating Multimedia Arts students who aim to showcase and promote their works and talents to a wider audience.

So I was riding the jeepney a while ago when I noticed a group of ladies who were wearing same shirts. I think it’s their uniform for some sort of organization anyway, they were noisy. It’s okay when you’re talking to your friend inside the jeepney though but they were across from each other and they were talking loudly. I think every passenger who wasn’t acquainted with them understood what they’re saying. Anyway, it’s one of my pet peeves because I think you can talk in a discreet manner and not shout at each other.

Oh well, another jeepney ride.
